Grandpa passed away today, Christmas Eve 2016. It came as a bit of a shock to me. I didn't realize he was that close. I knew his dementia had gotten a lot worse, but I thought Grandma would go first. This picture was taken at the home he lived in for a bit. He was a danger to himself at home, so they had to seek help at an assisted living facility. This man taught all of us so much about life. Lessons I hope to pass down to my kids. And he certainly lived an adventurous life with Grandma by his side. It'll be an exciting reunion when I see him in the eternities.
