So part of the reason we moved to California for the summer is so that we could save up for a new car. We needed something that could handle snow and ice well, and didn't have over 200,000 miles on it like our Contour does. After some searching, we found a 2012 Subaru Outback manual transmission with 14,000 miles on it for sale for $14,999 in Midvale, UT. It has a salvaged title because it was in Hurricane Sandy. But after looking at it and doing a lot of research and talking to lots of people, we saw that it had been completely restored and is in great condition. The only thing left that needs fixing is the shifter cables (I think?). The gear shifter is just really tight, so the dealership paid for the part to replace the cables. Other then that though, it runs great! So far...praying no problem pops up later.
Less then 30 minutes after getting it home, the cat decided to jump onto the hood and put some scratches on it. Instead of shooting him, I convinced Sean to try to cover up the hood somehow ;) A couple sheets will have to work for the moment.
If you look closely, you can see the dog likes our car also. He just uses it for shade though, not a climbing toy, so I don't mind haha.
