Jack Sterling is 1 year old!
-23.5 lbs (75%) 30.5" (75%) 19.1" head (95%). His head barely made the curve, but it's still growing! He's gone from being in the hundredth percentile for weight, 50th for height and 105th for head to 75th for weight and height and 95th for head.
-Has a bad tongue tie that we need to take him to the dentist for. Darn pediatrician at the hospital didn't notice when he was born. Could have saved me a ton of pain when nursing him!
-Not walking, but he's taken his first steps
-Loves babbling
-Says "Daddy" and says "mamma mamma" when upset.
-LOVES food!
-Still obsessed with his camouflage blankie. The other day I washed it, and it was still wet when I put him to bed so he didn't have it. Cried for an hour and refused to nap until I finally got it in the dryer. Gave it to him a little damp, and he stuffed it in his mouth and went right to sleep! The love between this boy and his blankie is crazy!
-Just started trying to eat with utensils this week. He won't let us feed him anymore. Consequently, he doesn't get a ton of food in his mouth because he doesn't know how to use a spoon or fork very well. Hopefully he'll be able to get it soon!
-Loves playing with his friend Carter! He's also a bulldozer and doesn't know his own strength, so he beats up on him a lot. Results in many timeouts.
-Has started to get very clingy. He cries for babysitters almost the whole time now. Makes me feel good and frustrated!
-SLEEPS THROUGH THE NIGHT!! Hallelujah! I never thought this day would come! He sleeps 12 hours at night, and has 2 2-hour naps a day!
-Learning how to stack his blocks, then knock them over. It's a favorite game ;)
We love this little dude! I can't believe he's already 1 year old! Time totally flies. He has changed our lives forever :)
Sidenote-it is impossible to get a 1-yr-old to stay still for a picture! We'll get his birthday party pictures up soon :)
